"When my wife and I started looking for a house we did not want to spend a lot of time looking around for houses. We knew the area we wanted to be in and a price range. We did however want to look at a lot of houses to get familiar with our choices in the neighborhood.

We were also first time buyers and needed to make sure we got in touch with an agent we could trust. I must say once we met Kevin we really felt like we had a friend who was looking out for our interests rather than someone who was just out to make a sale. We looked at a lot of houses mostly on the weekends. However, Kevin was also available during weekdays if there was a house he thought was worth looking at. We found one house that we liked however, since the windows needed some work Kevin negotiated on our behalf to have the owner fix the windows. The owner refused to fix the windows, Kevin recommended that we drop the deal which we did promptly. Kevin found another house in the neighborhood immediately afterwards. Houses in Northern Virginia generally sell very quickly. In Fairfax good houses sell even faster, we realized that after looking at some houses. Kevin immediately wrote an offer letter for us and in a couple of days we were on our way to being home owners. Kevin also helped us with the house inspection and gave us lists of people he had worked with before. He also recommended some mortgage brokers one of which we liked and got our house financed with. All of the folks Kevin recommended were of great bit of help and it saved us a lot of time searching for a house inspector who could do a thorough job or a mortgage broker.

Looking back I think we were quite fortunate to have Kevin as our agent. We will definitely be looking for him when we buy a bigger house in a few years."
